As the third full-service airline in the Republic of China, Starlux Airlines will have an all-Airbus fleet consisting of the A321neo, A330neo and A350 aircraft by June 2024.
Looking back at Starlux's full-year revenue performance for 2023, it reached NT$22.47213 billion, a year-on-year increase of 568.4%. Its net profit after tax was NT$149 million, or basic earnings per share of NT$0.08, marking the company's first profitable year since its founding. Looking solely at this year's first-quarter financial report, total revenue reached NT$7.995 billion, with a net profit after tax of NT$623 million. Not only did this quarter's profit exceed the entire 2023 year, but it also represented four years of profit in one quarter, signaling a period of accelerated growth. The Taiwan Stock Exchange announced on August 7th that it had approved Starlux Airlines' initial public offering application. Starlux Airlines previously submitted its application for listing on June 27th, under the ticker symbol 2646, becoming the seventh domestic company (excluding the Innovation Board) to apply for a stock listing this year.
Based on the application schedule, it is expected to be listed before the end of the year. If successful, Starlux will become the first diversified IPO on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
